Welcome to Van Stockum's Veilingen
Van Stockum's Veilingen B.V., established in 1833, is one of the oldest Dutch auction houses, and renowned for its specialized sales of books, prints, antiques, militaria and coins.
With a background in valuation and appraisal we are well equipped to advise you in the case of selling all categories of antiques, including furniture, paintings, jewellery, oriental art, militaria as well as books and prints. Naturally we are also well placed to act as an agent in the sale of an estate.
Illustrated catalogues are produced for every sale to provide information on and estimations of the lots.

Since February 1st, 2016 all auction from Van Stockum's Veilingen will be held in and organized in co-production with the Venduehuis der Notarissen te 's-Gravenhage, Nobelstraat 5 in The Hague (Den Haag).
Van Stockum’s Veilingen auctions seven to eight times a year. These auctions are accessable to anyone. Accordingly we welcome any interested party to attend (one of) the viewing days which are held on the weekend before the auction. When the items for sale are on view, it is possible for a prospective buyer, seller and even mere enthusiasts to personally appraise the object(s) of choice or just take a look in a pleasant ambience. Our experts are always present to help, and we also provide a few catalogues you may wish to consult.
These richly illustrated catalogues are available in print three weeks before each auction. As a service to our international clientele a selection of our regular catalogues can be obtained in English. In addition to this, the entire content of the latest catalogue(s) will be accessible via the internet. Moreover, we advertise in newspapers and periodicals and send newsletters to call the attention of the public to our auctions.

In the upcoming November auction of Van Stockum a complete series of the art magazine Wendingen (Twists) will be auctioned off.
116 Issues were published between 1918 and 1932. Both in terms of format (33 x 33 cm.) and in terms of design they occupy an exceptional place in Pre-War art.
Many famous artists designed the lithographed covers, including El Lissitzky and Jan Toorop. The series contains important contributions on architecture (e.g. Frank Lloyd Wright and the Amsterdam School) and on crafts (including the famous woodcuts issue with 60 original woodcuts).
The target price for the entire set is 10,000 Euro.
